The short version: Time Loop stores your tab packages and preferences locally on your device. We don't sell your data. We don't track your browsing. We collect the minimum information needed to process payments.

What Data We Collect

Stored locally on your device (never sent to our servers):

Tab packages you save (URLs and page titles)
Folder names and organization you create
Your color theme preferences
Tab usage statistics (domain names and visit counts)
Browser Standard configurations
Trial install date
Your license key (to verify your subscription status)

Collected during payment (via Stripe):

Email address (to deliver your license key)
Payment information (processed entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details)

Stored on our servers (Netlify):

Your email address
Your license key
Your Stripe customer ID
Subscription status (active or cancelled)

What We Don't Collect

We do not track which websites you visit
We do not read the content of web pages you visit
We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party
We do not use advertising networks
We do not collect analytics on how you use the extension

Tab Usage Statistics

The Stats feature (subscription only) tracks which domain names you visit and how many times — stored entirely on your local device using Chrome's built-in storage. This data never leaves your computer and is not accessible to us.

Permissions Explained

tabs — To read your open tabs so you can save them as packages. We only read tab URLs and titles when you actively use the extension.
storage — To save your packages, folders, and preferences on your device.
alarms — To trigger expiration notifications when a package timer runs out.
notifications — To alert you when packages expire or your trial is ending.
windows — To open folder workspaces in a new Chrome window.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never store or handle your credit card information. When you complete a purchase, Stripe sends us confirmation and we generate a license key associated with your email address. You can view Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Data Retention

Local data (packages, folders, settings) stays on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear Chrome's storage. License key records on our servers are retained as long as your subscription is active, and for up to 12 months after cancellation for support purposes.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account data (email and license key) at any time by emailing ghostwrighterllc@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Time Loop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
